Ypióca was founded in 1846 and has been providing Brazil with its excellent cachaça ever since. This artisan spirit uses a base of sugarcane, which the company grows itself in the northeastern corner of Brazil, the Ceará region, in particular. The spirit is also produced here and distributed all over Brazil and the world. Ypióca controls more than 30% of the domestic cachaça market with this quality Brazilian rum.

Just as with tequilas, you get silver and golden versions, the same happens with cachaça. Ypióca offers a silver cachaça (Cachaça Ypióca Prata) that is crystal clear and perfect for mixing. With a bit more ageing in wood, Cachaça Ypióca Ouro is a golden spirit with a woodier flavour and aroma, making it better for sipping Рbut still excellent for mixing. After production, Cachaça Ypióca Ouro is left to age in Brazilian Freijo wood casks for a minimum of two years, which gives that colour and an unmistakable flavour to the final product. The handwoven straw covering that comes on every bottle is both beautiful and a mark of the personalisation the brand puts into every bottle. The traditional production ensures that Cachaça Ypióca Ouro will be the perfect product to make a true Caipirinha or any other drink your heart desires.
Nose: A gently smoky nose grows into more nutty and sweet caramel notes.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: Finish is lingering.
