Karuizawa is the gold standard for rare Japanese whisky. The distillery closed its doors in 2011, although it had not been producing whisky for over a decade. This is an extremely rare bottle released for the beautiful city of Yokohama, situated just outside Tokyo. It is a 12 year old whisky presented with original box.

Nose: The aromas have alight fruit notes with malt and spice.
Palate: Smooth and soft with good sweetness and winter spice.
Finish: Finish is long, spicy and smooth.
Distillery Information
Karuizawa distillery was a Japanese whisky distillery. It was located at Miyota, a town on the southern slopes of an active complex volcano, Mount Asama, in Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. Established in 1955, the distillery began production in 1956.
