Infusion of a high quantity of wild Sardinian red myrtle berries fresh for several months in beet molasses alcohol. Subsequent filtration and addition of a syrup composed of water and sugar.
Wild Sardinia Mirto Liqueur Tasting Notes
Nose: Ethereal, balsamic, with evident hints of Mediterranean scrub, fresh fruit and essential oil present in the plant.
Palate: Sweet, enveloping, warm, velvety, with remarkable persistence of fruit, amalgamated by a delicately bitter note and a slight tannic aftertaste.
Finish: Fresh and refreshing finish.
Distillery Information
Wild Sardinia is located in the Province of Oristano in Sardinia; an area is known for it wild and pristine beaches. When the owner, Flavio Porcu, decided to start his project here, he knew what he wanted to create a product that reflects its location and is made from high-quality ingredients and has elegant packaging. Flavio Porcu, who was born and raised in Sardinia founded Wild Sardinia. While Flavio had worked in the wine and liquor industry most of his life, it wasn’t until he turned 46 that he decided to set out on his own and start what he dreamed of doing for years. Flavio knew from the beginning what he wanted. High-quality products, with elegant packaging and natural ingredients, were the key to his distillery’s success.
