It is a blend of grapes from the Douro Valley in Portugal, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Amarela. It is a ruby port, aged in oak casks for an average of three years. It has a deep, dark color and aromas of blackberries, plums, and raisins. On the palate it is rich and full-bodied, with a smooth finish. It has been rated highly by wine critics and is a popular choice for sipping.
