Their Virginia Lightning Apple Pie Moonshine is made with real apple juice and bottled at 70 proof. A sweet-drinking ‘shine that’ll sneak up on ya if you’re not careful! Nose: Nose is filled with tart apples and pie crust.
Palate: Fresh-pressed cider, fruit cereal and honey.
Finish: Slightly bitter, has hints of crackers and granny smith apples.
Belmont Farm Distillery was the first craft whiskey distillery in the USA. For more than four centuries, their forefathers produced fresh whiskey in the hills of Virginia. Until 30 years ago, whiskey for popular consumption was made in column stills that handle thousands of gallons per hour. Here at Belmont Farm, whiskey is produced in a genuine solid copper pot still. While others may be flooding the market, their pot still whiskey is slow and handled with care to preserve all of the aroma and taste of a fine fresh whiskey. Their copper pot still is truly the secret of their whiskey.
