Detailed Description
Here we have Vesuvius Elder from the Old Poison Distillery in Edinburgh, a category-defying spirit distilled in the capital. Botanicals include Scottish elderberries, lemon peel from Sorrento, a range of herbs, sweet almond, long pepper and wormwood. If Vesuvius conjures up images of the famed volcano, you’re on the right track, as the spirit is named for a mythical (obviously) centaur Vesuvius who fell in love with a mermaid, and after a quarrel with Zeus was turned into a volcano. There are worse things to be turned into, honestly. Volcanoes are pretty cool.
