Polish producers Vestal take great care and attention when it comes to the potatoes used for their drinks, as they of course affect the flavour of the finished product. The Pomorze 2013 is made using red-skinned Asterix potatoes which has been grown near the Baltic coast. The result is full of flavour with an incredible velvety mouth-feel.
Nose: A balanced nose of sweet blueberries and fresh pine. Peppery heat prickles in the background.
Palate: Sherbet and black liquorice, so essentially a Sherbet Fountain! There’s also notes of coconut and cinnamon with just a little hint of soap.
Finish: A dry finish with coconut notes lasting. A surprising hint of barbecue char appears ages afterwards.
