No, it is how Aberdeen-based UWA Tequila aged this reposado that is extraordinary. Using Speyside whisky casks, which were exported from Scotland to Tequila, Mexico, where the product is aged for seven months (a reposado that spent that long being Speyside snug? Now that’s rested) and bottled.
It is said to be the first Tequila to be aged in this manner, so now you’ve got to check it out to see if you think it works…
Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
Finish: Finish is smooth and long.
