Pronounced ‘You-Love-Ka’, this vodka’s teardrop/sperm-shaped bottle with a long neck benefits from British branding and packaging design, but the spirit, which is a blend 50 per cent rye, 25 per cent wheat and 25 per cent barley, comes from Poland’s Zielona Góra Distillery.
Nose: Fresh, ripe grain notes, clean and direct with real body, and a good range of nuances: spice, sherbet, and nuttiness.
Palate:Initially delicate with a creamy, lightly buttery character, and an impressive, sweet, savoury, spicy balance with underlying ryness, expanding further with aniseed freshness and spice.
Finish: Vibrant grain finish retains freshness and keeps delivering flavour.
