A Junmai Daiginjo sake handcrafted in small batches. Made from Yamada Nishiki rice polished so only 40% of the gran remainds, leaving only the purest portion of the rice. Gluten-free, sulfite-free, non-GMO, with 5 times less acidity than wine.
TyKu Junmai Daiginjo Sake Tasting Notes
Nose: Exceptionally refined and smooth, uniting floral notes.
Palate: Hints of banana and vanilla.
Finish: A smooth finish.
Distillery Information
Based in Japan’s Nara Prefecture, the Umenoyado Brewery has been making some of Japan’s finest sake for over 120 years. Owned and operated by the Yoshida family for five generations, current head Kayo Yoshida is the first female brewery owner in the history of Nara which has long been considered to be the birthplace of sake. Under her leadership, the brewery has since expanded its operations to Western shores by partnering up with Ty Ku brand.
