An Old Tom style gin—sweeter than London Dry—Old Yaupon features honey that is singly produced from wild yaupon flowers. Yaupon honey adds sweetness and viscosity and back-of-the tongue vegetal notes. A member of the holly family, yaupon itself has a rich history, finding its way to Native American burial mounds near the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.

Treaty Oak Waterloo Old Yaupon Gin Tasting Notes

Nose : Iced tea with lemon, kaffir lime leaf, bakelite, scented candle, and hops.

Palate: Orange blossom water, lemon shortbread cookies, mango, grapefruit spritz, and nutmeg.

Finish: Nutmeg finish.
