Fresh destoned purple plums undergo a meticulous 4-month fermentation in a blend of lambics aged for 1, 2, and 3 years. Unfiltered and unpasteurised, this brew undergoes an additional re-fermentation in the bottle for at least 3 months. Expect a gentle tartness, combined with fruity and rounded flavours, making it an approachable choice even for those new to the world of beer connoisseurship.
Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.
Palate: A rich, complex, and smooth taste.
Finish: Long, warming finish.
The Gueuzerie Tilquin began operations in February 2009. It was 12 years that a new gueuze-producer had emerged in Brabant (the previous was Geuzestekerij De Cam in Gooik, which began in 1997).
