The Singleton brand is actually manufactured in three Scottish Whisky distilleries; one of which is Glendullan. This 18 Year expression, along with the younger expressions from the singleton lineup (a 15 and a 12 year), was released in the US in 2016. With its notes of chocolate, banana almond, and honey, this Speyside single malt is matured using mostly ex-bourbon American oak barrels, and bottled at 40% ABV.
Nose: Chocolate, banana and almond, toasted marshmallow and honeycomb and a subtle scorched wood.
Palate: Sweet toffee, followed by toasted coconut and cocoa.
Finish: Long lasting, with a lingering nuttiness.
Dufftown distillery is a distiller of Scotch whisky in Dufftown, Banffshire, Scotland. Founded in 1895 as “Dufftown-Glenlivet Distillery”, the distillery is currently owned by Diageo. The distillery operates six stills and has a capacity of 4,000,000 litres (880,000 imperial gallons; 1,100,000 US gallons) per year. It has three wash stills with a capacity of 13,100 litres (2,900 imperial gallons; 3,500 US gallons) and three spirit stills with a capacity of 15,300 litres (3,400 imperial gallons; 4,000 US gallons).
