An interesting experimental spirit here from The Drinks Lab, which came about from the team pondering upon a question: could they make a rum that pairs perfectly with a single cask single malt whisky? It wasn’t just a pondering though – plans were put into action, and eventually The Drinks Lab produced Strange Bedfellows, a spirit made with a mixture of single malt whisky and a rum combined with raspberries and cinnamon. Unique and tasty stuff, this!
Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: Dark fruit, cardamom, quite buttery at points, a hint of orange zestiness giving it some pep.
Finish: Quite long and warm.
