The nose on this very special sake is a gentle collection of melon, green apple, and rose water aromas. This is a very elegant Daiginjo that is more on the full-bodied side, but with light flavors and feeling. Smooth, rich, and clean with a very quick finish.
Takatenjin is an old catsle located near Mt. Fuji. They get so much sunshine year-round that they are able to operate as a mostly solar powered brewery. This area of Shizuoka has the most wasabi farms in Japan, it also is famous for tea. Both testaments to the pure and pristine water that is the source for Takatenjin.
