The Stolichnaya Gold serves as an upgrade to their vodka with redesigned label and tweaks in the production process that gave drinkers a more elevated drinking experience than the standard expression. Starting with the same base ingredients of wheat, rye, and artesian water, the vodka is fermented and distilled before being blended in water filtered through shungite, one of the rarest and most remarkable minerals on earth, and finally undergoing undergoing multiple filtrations using coils of gold thread to create a sublimely rich vodka expression that is premium in every way.

Stolichnaya Vodka Tasting Notes

Nose: Clean, light fruity aroma of apricot and peach with a faint hint of medicinality

Palate: Soft, smooth, apricot as well as cinnamon and a squeeze of grapefruit.

Finish: Clean, slight mint character and a decent alcohol burn

Distillery Information

Built in 1900 by order of the Tsar, Latvijas Balsams in the Baltic city of Riga, Latvia is a magnificent cathedral to vodka. Owned by the S.P.I. Group, owners of Stolichnaya, this is where Russian Stolichnaya vodka has been bottled for over 66 years (since 1948). It is also home to Riga Black Balsam, a traditional Latvian vodka-based herbal liqueur.
