Description
Detailed Description
Sobieski vodka is named for Poland’s King Jan Sobieski III. Their marketing prides itself on the tradition of Polish vodka production–including rye as a base, a lack of glitz, and the acknowledgment that multiple distillations are not necessarily making the product better (this is true, by the way). This vodka is made with Polish Dankowski Rye grain with water from the Oligocene springs.

Distillery Information
Sobieski Distillery (Destylarnia Sobieski S. A.) in Starogard Gdanski (former: Gdansk Vodka Distillery, former Distillery “Polmos” in Starogard Gdanski) dates back to the year 1846 when a merchant from Gdansk, H.A. Winkelhausen, founded the Manufacturing Plant of Vodkas, Liqueurs and Brandies. A quarter of a century later, in 1871, the first spirit rectification plant in the Pomeranian region was created.
