Semental Añejo is a 100% agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico. Unlike most tequilas, this añejo is triple distilled before it is aged. It is aged in barrels made from a combination of American oak staves and French oak caps for over a year.

Semental Tequila calls itself “the next generation” of tequila. It is named for the semental “fighting caste” bull. The tequilas are batch-distilled with careful attention to collecting only the heart of the cut (discarding the less desirable forms of alcohol at the “heads” and “tails” of the distillate).
Nose: Medium oak wood, vanilla and raisins with faint hint of citrus.
Palate: Smooth and sweet. Distinct oak wood complemented by vanilla, raisins and honey, with a hint of melon.
Finish: Caramel and smoky notes.
