The Port of Leith distillery will be using casks seasoned with sherry from Bodegas Barón to mature its whisky, but while we wait for that whisky to age, they’ve decided to give us a taste of Bodegas Barón’s sherry! This is a solera-aged Oloroso sherry from the 480 year old producer, boasting a huge flavour profile of fresh fruit and complex oak. Find out a little more about Port of Leith over on our blog…
Port of Leith Distillery & Bodegas Barón Oloroso Sherry Tasting Notes
Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
