The basis for the distinctive Mikkeller Botanical and Hoppy Gin is a grain distillate obtained from hops. This base alone is a good change from the conventional gin varieties. The production of the Mikkeller Botanical and Hoppy Gin is somewhat reminiscent of a London Dry Gin, because the hand-picked botanicals are added to the alcohol during the distillation process.
