The XO features a remarkable blend of different eaux-de-vie, the youngest of which is at least 10 years old, with some aged up to 50 years, all embodying the savoir-faire of Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze.
Nose: Very elegant and precise aromas.
Palate: Apricot, caramel, vanilla, cocoa, tobacco, leather, plum, roasted walnuts, and caramelized fruits.
Finish: Impressive length on the finish, very unique and complex.
The story of Marquis de Montesquiou armagnac began in the early 1950s with Pierre de Montesquiou, a passionate French Marquis and founder of the Maison Montesquiou. A direct descendant of the famous musketeer d’Artagnan, he was known to love three things: armagnac, camaraderie, and his Gascon homeland in the south west of France.
