The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. snapped up a cask of Mannochmore for its Cooper’s Choice collection. Distilled in 2011, the whisky spent 11 years maturing, starting in American oak before finishing in a ruby Port butt. A release of 600 bottles.

Nose Chocolate-coated berries, a touch of maple syrup, floral tobacco.
Palate Runny honey, cocoa, plump sultanas, and stewed red fruits, with peppery oak developing beneath.
Finish A touch of leathery oak, jammy fruit, more dark chocolate, and a hint of ginger.
Distillery Information
The distillery was founded in 1971 by John Haig & Co. Between 1985 and 1989, production was suspended and the distillery closed; it was then reopened and in 1992 started producing a Mannochmore single malt.
