Hand-crafted in the Cognac region of France using specially selected, pure local ingredients. In a process that takes weeks to complete, Jean Marc XO Vodka is distilled nine times in very small batches using French copper Alambic stills, and is then micro-oxygenated and charcoal filtered through Limousin oak. The result is an extraordinary Vodka possessing a floral bouquet, complex & elegant flavors, a silky texture and very long finish. Jean Marc XO has raised the craft of Vodka making to a fine art.
Nose: Sublime, slightly citrusy aroma.
Palate: Hints of juniper and coriander complement bolder notes of grapefruits, lemons and citrus.
Finish: Finish is sweet yet soft, with an oily, silky texture.
When Daucourt was old enough, he left his native France to study the art of distillation in Scotland and Germany. After apprenticing at a number of distilleries, Daucourt returned to France, and together with his brother Edward, purchased a distillery just outside the Cognac region in southwest France. Bastille 1789 Hand-Crafted Whisky is the realization of his dream of creating an outstanding whisky with a distinct French identity.
