A fruity, floral sake from Île Four, Ume Plum is made with… Well, yeah. Fairly obvious. However, while it is often called a plum, in fact it’s actually more closely related to the apricot! Perhaps not as obvious as we thought! The blossom of the ume tree is celebrated with festivals and the like, though you needn’t wait for a special occasion to crack this bottle open…
Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.
Palate: A subtly tart fruity acidity, with hints of red berries and sweetness.
Finish: The finish is surprisingly long and warming.
