This expression features a portion of the distiller’s malt replaced with chocolate malt (which is heavily toasted barley), and this helps to impart soft, roasty-toasty hints of coffee, caramel, and… Well, yeah, chocolate too!
Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.
Palate: Enjoyably bittersweet hints of dark chocolate and coffee beans, wrapped up in bold malty notes with a touch of peppery heat.
Finish: Quite long and warm.
