Detailed Description

Looking back at the time when their barley was dried in a peat-fired kiln, they distilled a heritage spirit batch, with a touch of smoke. Aged in American oak bourbon casks for smoothness and skillfully married with our signature spirit, their 16-year-old Tribute delights with its creamy vanilla and zesty citrus notes.

Glenmorangie | The Tribute Heritage Spirit Batch | Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 1L Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh flowers entwine with gentle smoke, vanilla and a distinctive mossy scent. Then charred notes come to the fore, with whispers of lemon and orange.

Palate: Smooth on the palate, with the sweetness of vanilla cream, pears, almonds and star anise, set against fennel, grapefruit and salted fudge.

Finish: A subtle smokiness fades into classic Glenmorangie notes of citrus, vanilla and toffee.

Distillery Information

The Glenmorangie distillery was established in 1843, on the Dornoch Firth by brothers William and John Matheson. The site originally held a farm distillery under the name Morangie. There is evidence that distillation was carried out at this site during the early 18th century. Production began in November of 1849. During the latter part of the 19th century Glenmorangie began overseas exportation and destinations included Europe and the United States.
