Detailed Description
Haunted vodka. Well, the distillery in Cambridge is said to be haunted at least, the spirit produced there from sugar beet is far from a horror though. We love the simple bottle design too, available in three different skull colours, this being the silver edition.
Ghost Vodka – Silver | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: There’s a pleasant fruity edge – the producer’s liken it to a kirsch – that comes from the beets.
Palate: Vanilla, light caramel, white pepper and a little creamy radish.
Finish: Warming vanilla and red liquorice.
Distillery Information
Originally distilled on the haunted site of an old salt depot in Cambridgeshire, there were stories of eerie whispers, partial apparitions and of bottles being knocked from shelves. Nearby was ancient Icknield Way where historic battles took place between the Boudican revolt and the Roman Empire. Locals would say the haunting was from a lost Roman legionary, others suggested it was Queen Boudicca herself. We just called the spirit… Ghost! And that inspired our rebellious vodka. A seditious soul with formidable clout. Just remember, when you open a bottle of this illustrious liquor, to raise a toast – to Ghost! #ToastTheGhost Now distilled in Holland, Ghost retains its haunted heritage with each skull-stamped bottle, steadfast in defiance with the spirit of ‘Ghost’. This ultra-premium spirit delivers an unrivalled elegant taste and is recognised for its individuality in some of the most well-know, high-profile venues. Launched at London’s world-renowned Fortnum & Mason, Ghost Vodka can be found in some of the city’s most exclusive venues, such as The Ritz and Tramp, along with a host of specialist wine and spirit stores, and numerous Michelin-star restaurants.
