This sotol from Flor del Desierto is made in Chihuahua from 100% Daisylirion wheeleri, which hasn’t been cultivated and instead is harvested from the surrounding area. Flor del Desierto sotols are named for the region they’re produced in, and Sierra is an unaged expression, which has been open fermented in wooden barrels before being distilled in clay stills.

Nose: Grassy and mineral notes on the nose.
Palate: Resin, mint, and clove, with a creamy backbone.
Finish: Quite delicate and smooth texture.
Distillery Information
Flor del Desierto is produced at two distilleries in the state of Chihuahua. Flor Del Desierto was started by a small group of friends after one of them, Flor, won a baking competition, using sotol as the special ingredient.
