This was a project that has been a labour of love for the team over at Sager and Wilde, finding the real examples of terroir and quality producers for agave in Mexico, and the results are worth the wait. This is made from the Tobala agave plant by Berta Vasquez, a famous Maestra Mezcalera.

An agave spirit produced for the El Destilado range, founded by folks from Sager + Wilde and East London Liquor Company. This expression was made with tobala agave in Oaxaca. Tobala agave plants tend to be on the rather small side compared to the like of espadín, though it still remains a popular choice among mezcal producers.
Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish: Clean,crisp and smooth.
