EFFEN® Black Cherry Vodka avoids glycerin or additional sugars by using vanilla blended with ripe black cherries to achieve a balanced finish. It’s smooth enough to drink straight, though it also complements any mixer with just the right level of sweetness.

The company was founded in 1888. Hooghoudt’s products include gin, vodka and beerenburg. The family company was founded in 1888 by Hero Jan Hooghoudt, who had been a baker. The distillery was based in the inner city of Groningen, but has since moved to a new complex in business area Euvelgunne. The distillery employs between 50–100 and estimated revenue is 10 to 25 million euros.
