Detailed Description
Each batch of this absinthe begins with the finest pharmaceutical-grade herbs harvested from a Swiss plantation reserved exclusively for the cultivation of such botanicals. These are then macerated in a distilled neutral spirit to impart it with its flavor before being re-distilled to remove bitter elements and create a clean and clear spirit. Rather than being re-macerated as with green or “verte” absinthe, the finished absinthe is immediately brought to proof and bottled as white or “blanche” absinthe offering a lighter, more approachable absinthe drinking experience.
Duplais Swiss Blanche Absinthe Tasting Notes
Nose: Once properly prepared, each sip of this spirit greets you with a funky nose of wormwood, pontica, and herbs accented by touches of anise, fennel, and grapes.
Palate: This is then immediately followed by a smooth, silky, and medium-bodied palate of more fennel and anise notes, wood bark, and medicinal herbs.
Finish: A long and lingering finish of even more anise and fennel notes accented by a sharp alcohol bite.
