Derrumbes signature style is to cook their agave in stone pits underground, using black oak. They use underground tanks lined with pine wood for fermentation, and wooden stills for distillation.

Mezcal Derrumbes Michoacan is an exotic combination of rich, pungent agaves and ancient production techniques. Made using a combination of Cupreata and Cenizo agave, cooked in an underground pit, this shows excellent balance between fruity and herbal notes.
Nose: Oak-y smoke, roasted apricot and red pepper.
Palate: Fresh cut grass, wood smoke, cracked stone, agave pepper, sweet tropical fruits, apples.
Finish: Cleans and fresh.
