Detailed Description
Ron Cooper, founder of Del Maguey, almost never made it out to San Jose Rio Minas, a tiny remote village located in the mountains in western Oaxaca. But an accidental meeting with a distiller from that village in a neighboring village who was out hunting cemented its place in their portfolio. This mezcal is part of Del Maguey’s Vino de Mezcal series which features limited production mezcals that were hand-selected by Cooper. It is made from 100% espadín and is unaged.

Distillery Information
Del Maguey (pronounced ma–gay) Single Village Mezcal was founded in 1995, and they’ve been one of the most innovative and trail-blazing international spirits brands since. Their founder, Ron Cooper, is largely credited for the current growing popularity of Mezcal on the international market. His dedication to Mezcal and the country of Mexico, where Del Maguey is produced, has helped to dispel many of the worm-in-bottle and other negative stereotypes that surrounded Mezcal for years.
