Detailed Description
At 10% ABV, this lighter interpretation of an aperitif-style spirit from DECEM was made using a combination of botanicals including strawberries, guelder rose, wormwood, rowan berries, burdock root, hawthorn berries, red grapes, gentian root, rhubarb root, and fennel. Each is macerated for two days to extract maximum flavour, before being blended with the real fruit juices.

The bitterness is well balanced with a touch of sweetness, making it a perfect aperitif to whet the appetite.
Finish: The finish is long and dry, with lingering notes of bitter orange, grapefruit, and herbs. The aftertaste is refreshing and leaves a pleasant bitterness in the mouth.
Distillery Information
DECEM creates lighter interpretations of classic spirits which are bottled at 10% ABV, not high enough to be classed as a spirit, but not low enough to be low-to-no alcohol options either. The brand describes them as ‘light spirits’, and has so far created a London dry gin alternative, a spiced Caribbean rum substitute, and an aperitif-style spirit, with Masterchef finalist Billy Wright lending his expertise to the recipes.
