The superb XO Cognac from De Luze’s redesigned range. It is around 20 years old, with the oldest Cognac in the bottle being from the Boinaud Estate harvest of 1980. It’s a Fine Champagne, and it tastes sublime and looks incredible.
De Luze Cognac Fine Champagne XO Tasting Notes
Nose: Floral notes of jasmine, medlar flowers. Fruity notes of figs, prunes, creme brulee and candied orange. Spice of oak and toasted brioche.
Palate: Generous and oaky, mellow refined and elegant.
Finish: Long, rich finish.
Distillery Information
A cognac brand established by Bordeaux negociants A de Luze et Fils in 1820. In 2006, De Luze was acquired by the Boinaud Family, vineyard owners with an 410 ha in Grande Champagne and owners of cognac’s largest private distillery, boasting 41 pot-stills.
