A whisky all the way from the sunny South West of England – Dartmoor, specifically! This English single malt was fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks, after being distilled in a still that originated in Cognac, under the watchful eye of master distiller Frank McHardy (previously of Springbank and Bushmills). Packed full of familiar sherried elements, this one. Dried fruit, chocolate, ginger, the lot of them.
Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in taste.
Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
