The Copper Rivet distillery in Kent is up and running, with a selection of interesting treats for us to sink our teeth in to – as well as a whisky in the works (it’ll take a little while to mature, hold your horses)! The Son of a Gun is an intriguing spirit made from a trio of grains distilled in Copper Rivet’s pot still, then briefly aged in oak before bottling.
Nose: Full-bodied aroma.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: The finish is surprisingly long and warming.
