Two casks from the founding Carlos I Solera have been emptied to create this release (an unprecedented occurrence!), and blended with a selection of distillates from master blender Ignacio Lozano’s private reserves. Such an extraordinary release deserves an equally zazzy bottle, and Carlos I 130 Aniversario definitely has that too, while still echoing the distinctive bottle shape from the rest of the range.
Nose: Dense prune and plum doused in old sherry, alongside some vibrant red berry and citrus zestiness.
Palate: Toasted oak warmth develops, introducing aromatic notes of five-spice and caraway.
Finish: Creamy vanilla lasts.
