From Capreolus in Gloucestershire comes this 2018 Damson Eau de Vie. Damsons are actually a type of plum, and the fruit for this eau de vie is found in the Vale of Evesham, considered a hubbub of plum cultivation in the UK. The fruit is gently fermented with the stones removed just before distillation. A smashing 24kg of fruit is needed to make one litre of the spirit, and this batch saw an outturn of 106 bottles.
Nose: Delightful aroma.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish: Perfect, long lasting finish.
