Distillery Information
Edinburgh is home to a rich distilling heritage, although sadly very few operations remain in the city today. Canongate was one such distillery populating the Scottish capital. Its exact location is unclear, but the new Scottish Parliament building sits on the site of a long-established brewery at Canongate, the lower stretch of the Royal Mile on the approach to the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
