Rum Extra Viejo from Brugal is made in Santo Domingo, in the heart of the Dominican Republic. Following the distillation process, this fine rum ages for more than 8 years in carefully selected American oak barrels.
Nose: The nose has warm aromas of wood and almonds, enriched with hints of cocoa, vanilla.
Palate: Elegant and spicy, with notes of vanilla, cocoa and honey.
Finish: Slight peppery touch.
Brugal was founded in 1888 by Don Andrés Brugal Montaner as a family business. Brugal & Co. is based in Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. In 1920, Brugal, now in its 2nd family generation, launches the first aged Rum on the market. The typical Brugal net has adorned every bottle since 1940.
