Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.
Palate: Vanilla and fresh pear sweetness.
Finish: The finish is long and complex.
Brennivín was first introduced in 1935, when prohibition in Iceland was partially lifted. A black label was chosen in order for the product to look unappealing and limit demand. The label had the opposite effect and Brennivín quickly became a popular drink.
