From Bodegas Hidalgo, Amontillado Napoleon is a nutty sherry, with roots in a manzanilla fed solera. A great sherry for those looking to try something drier, but not quite ready for a fino. This is an excellent one to sip alongside a plate of jamón.

Distillery Information

With more than 170 hectares of vineyards spread over Balbaína and Miraflores, the Hidalgo La Gitana Winery has its base in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, near the Guadalquivir River, in the Sherry wine region. The name La Gitana means Gypsy Woman, and it came from the bar in Málaga operated by a gypsy, where Manzanilla La Gitana wine was particularly famous. Today, the estate produces around 200,000 cases of wines and brandies every year.
