Straight from the barrel at 118.8 proof and bottled without undergoing chill filtration, the inaugural batch of this wheat whiskey represents its purest essence. Bernheim Barrel Proof, crafted at the renowned Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, remains faithful to its origins. However, this particular iteration is matured for a duration of seven to nine years within our exposed rickhouses. It originates from a Wheat Whiskey mashbill consisting of 51% wheat, 37% corn, and 12% malted barley.
With a notable aroma derived from oak staves and freshly baked bread, this wheat whiskey tantalizes the senses. Upon tasting, the initial notes span a spectrum ranging from velvety hints of caramel and honey to the vibrant spiciness of cloves. The finish is gentle, yet intricate, leaving a lasting impression of honey and caramel on the palate.
