Benriach 6yo TBWC : Single malt from the Benriach distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Another bananas label sits upon this Boutique-y bottle, referencing the origin of the phrase “monkey shoulder”. Y’see, being a maltster is rather touch work, and after a long time of turning the malt of a malt floor (like the one at Benriach), they might develop a hunch, colloquially referred to as a “monkey shoulder”. Batch 5 is a release of 377 bottles. ‚ÄòThat Boutique-y Whisky Company‚Äô bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Nose: Full-bodied aroma.
Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
Finish: Rich and smooth.
