To earn the distinction “reposado”, tequilas must aged for a minimum of two months, and most reposado tequilas are aged for only that long. Avión Reposado Tequila, however, is aged for six months (three times the requirement), and as a result has a light amber color.
Avión Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of fire-roasted agaves and rosemary.
Palate: Oak becomes evident along with sweet fruits such as nectarines, cherries and pears.
Finish: Citrus, honey and floral notes.
Distillery Information
The Avión story begins in the small town of Jesus Maria, Mexico—a town and culture the Lopez family has cherished for generations. Here, single origin, rare blue agave is grown at the highest elevations taking 7-10 years to reach maturity.
