Detailed Description
8 Mesas tequila was founded in 2010 and named for the “Valley of 8 Mesas” in Tamaulipas (interesting because most tequila is made in Jalisco). Several press articles quote the marketing tagline that 8 Mesas is “rescuing the Tamaulipas tradition of tequila.” The 8 Mesas Plata is their blanco (or “silver”) expression offered un-aged as the purest expression of their agave. They suggest looking for aromas of green apple combined with the characteristic herbal essence of agave.
