This single cask of Blair Athol was distilled in 1988. Aged for 28 years and bottled by Antique Lions Of Spirits, this shows exceptional balance between fruit and spice.
Nose: The nose is creamy with notes of banana, pear drops, dried apricots and honeyed barley.
Palate: Palate brings big, jammy fruitness. Notes of vanilla custard, apple tart and a hint of herbal spiceness round things off.
Finish: A spicy, malty finish.
Blair Athol Distillery is a distillery in Scotland that distills Blair Athol single malt whisky. It is used in Bell’s whisky, and is also normally available in a 12-year-old bottling. The distillery is located on the south edge of Pitlochry in Perthshire, near the River Tummel.
