      Reviews:

      • Wine Advocate: Deep in color, it has a magnificent, majestic bouquet that knocks you out: very perfumed and floral with a hint of peppermint developing with time. It is actually quite exotic for the normally conservative 1966 vintage.
      • John Gilman: The bouquet is √† point and stunning, offering up scents of black cherries, mocha, nutskin, menthol, a beautifully complex base of gravel, a touch of cumin, cigar smoke and dried eucalyptus in the upper register.

      Producer Information

Château Figeac is one of the finest producers in Saint-Émilion and is just one of fourteen properties classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) in 2012, putting it firmly in the highest echelons of the region. Owned by the Manoncourt family since 1892, the history of this superb estate can be traced back to the Roman era and today spans 40ha. The majority of the grapes produced go into producing the celebrated first wine of the estate, Château Figeac, a classic style of Saint-Émilion with wonderful texture and tannic power. A small amount of the second wine, Le Petit Figeac is also produced.
