Detailed Description
Founded in Beaune in 1720, Maison Champy is simply the oldest wine company in Burgundy. It is widely recognized for the quality of its Grands Crus from the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, and its Corton-Charlemagne in particular. This release is the maison’s 1961 La Dominode, a premier cru of the Savigny-lès-Beaune appellation. The 1961 vintage was remarkably good for Burgundy and the best wines are still drinking well.
